| Australian Champion Rhonabwy Magic Gemma ADM JDM SPDX GD SD ET FM
Gemma is the foundation bitch of Yeoville. She was given to me at approximately 14 months of age, having just achieved her Australian Champion title, by my good friend Robyn Evans at Winpara Border Collies. She was bred by Chris Fernando at Rhonabwy Border Collies. Details of Gemma's own sire (Australian Champion Winpara Walkin On ThSun) are also at the Winpara site.
Gemma is a well balanced, lovely moving bitch with a beautiful feminine head and lovely dark eye. Her athleticism is outstanding, and her temperament is a delight to live with. She loves people and enjoys as much cuddling as she can get! Gemma is easy to train and eager to please, and is a wonderful flyball competitor, with a Flyball Master title to her credit from competing with the Berwick Bladerunners. She became a Division Two National Title holder in March 2006 with the Bladerunners at the Australian National Flyball Championships held in Melbourne. Gemma achieved her Novice Agility title on 19/3/05 with two first placings and one second placing, including placing first at the Melbourne Royal Show Novice Agility Event in 2004. She achieved her Novice Jumping title on 1/5/05 with three first placing passes to her credit. Gemma commenced her Excellent Jumping title with two qualifying passes at the National Agility Trials (June 2006), where she also qualified for the Excellent Jumping final. She had a huge weekend at the 2006 Melbourne Royal Show, where she won the Excellent Jumping ring, and then followed it up the next day at the Knox Obedience Dog Club winning all three Excellent rings and achieving both her Excellent Agility title and her Excellent Jumping title in the process! She made her debut in the Masters rings and achieved her first Masters Agility pass on 18/11/06 with a second placing :), and her first pass in Masters Jumping on 17/2/07 with a third place. She has since obtained further passes and we are delighted to say has already placed first in both agility and jumping in the masters rings. Gemma has gone on to complete her Masters Jumping title on 22/7/07 placing 3rd and 1st in the class to achieve her title, and completed her Masters Agility title on 6/10/07 with second and first placings on that day.
Gemma has produced black and white, red and white and tri-coloured pups in the litters she has whelped. She has several sons and daughters in performance homes that will come of competing age in the next few years. She has produced her first two Australian Champions, and her first performance titled offspspring -Aust CH Yeoville Epic Journey, Aust CH Yeoville Magic Reaction AD JDX SPD GD SD ET FDCH W-FD/MF, Yeoville All That She Is ADX JDX and Yeoville All He Can Be AD JDX SPD GD SD so we are very proud of her! Gemma retired from competition and breeding at the end of 2007. She now has a new home with the Rimington family in Melbourne, and is a very spoilt girl who is much loved and extremely well looked after. We still see Gemma very regularly thanks to her new mum Barbara, and it is not out of the question that Gemma may train up and compete with Peter at the Australian Agility National Trials, being held in August 2008 in Melbourne.
